Misc. Notes
The story that was passed down in the family was that Jackson was driving a wagon full of corn from field to barn when struck by lightning killing him and the mules pulling wagon
Note: Jackson was born about 1825. He passed away after January 1861 when he purchased the Simpson Stewart Plantation w/down payment of Confederate money. Simpson Stewart died in September 1860 as stated on estate papers. The war started April 12, 1861. He may have been in the CSA but nothing to back this up. Levi L Red had bond on children July 1861 & they were living in his household. Have found no more information since.
