Margeret was the daughter of Sir Richard Foliot of Gressenhall and Weasenham and Joan de Brewes, granddaughter of Sir William de Brewes.
Wife of Sir John de Hastings and Isabel le Despenser, grandson of Sir Henry de Hastings and Joan de Cantelowe,
Sir Hugh le Despenser and
Isabel de Beauchamp. They were married before 18 May 1330 and had two sons and three daughters; Sir Hugh, John, Isabel, Margery and Maud.
Margery was co-heiress to her brother, John Foliot, by which she inherited the manors of Fenwick and Norton, Yorkshire.
After Sir Hugh's death in 1347, Margery complained that John de Wentworth and his sons William and Roger broke into the parks of the manors of Fenwick and Norton and took away six oxen and four cows worth £10, felled trees, fished in her rivers, carried away deer ad assaulted her men and servants.
Margery was buried 30 August 1349, in the Furnivalle Chapel, in the Church of the Friars Minor at Doncaster.
