BECKER - Thelma Ailene "Lena" Hudson Wright, 95, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004 at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory after a short illness.

She was born March 15, 1908 in Winfield, Ala., to James and Della Jane Farris Hudson. She lived all her married life in Monroe County, most of the time in Becker. She married Frank Wright on Sept. 24, 1933 in Amory. He died May 29, 1964. She was a retired seamstress employed by Wilson Mfg. Co. and Glenn Mfg. Co. She was a member of Becker Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. She enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include three sons, Billie B. Wright and his wife Helen, Edward Wright and his wife Ruby and Ray Wright and his wife Frances, all of Amory; a daughter, Bettye Ruth Sanders and her husband Harold of Amory; a sister, Myrtle Ausbon of Hatley; nine grandchildren, Bert Wright, Alysia Wright Ashcraft, Susan Wright Concar, Shellie Wright Moffett, Sonia Wright, Julia Wright Seely, Marilyn Wright Chism, Eddie Harold Sanders and Mitzi Sanders Coleman; and 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Inez Dilworth, Jimmie Lee Wright and Jean Wilson; and two brothers, Brack Hudson and Lynue Hudson.

Pallbearers will be Bert Wright, Eddie Harold Sanders, Ricky Moffett, Ricky Chism, David Seely, Brad Pinkerton, Jon Eric Sanders, Jake Moffett, Adam Wright, Chuck Moffett and Bernard Wright.
