Rex Weaver, 84, died April 25, 2007, at his home in Fulton. He was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Itawamba County to the late Deck and Alma Gentry Weaver.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army's Texas 36th Division. He was a prisoner of war for 15 months. He was a construction worker.
Survivors included his wife of 60 years, Maudine Wright Weaver of Fulton; one daughter, Faye Wilson of Fulton; two sons, Lenny (Deb) Weaver of Tupelo and Kenny Weaver of Fulton; two brothers, Horace (Bea) Weaver of Arizona and Charles (Ruth) Weaver of Tremont; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Harvey Weaver; a grandson, Bo Wilson; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Cromeans; two brothers, Hollis Weaver and Lamen Weaver.
