David Roger Wright, 60 years young, was a native Birmingham, Ala., and resided in Greensboro for the last 25 years. He passed away 12 May 2003, from complications due to congestive heart failure.
David was employed with The Sheraton 4 Seasons, formerly the Holiday Inn 4 Seasons, where he was the Banquet Office Manager. An active member of the community, David was involved in several fund raising activities and is best known as a founding member of The Triad Health Project and a founding member of TLC.
His father, William "Willie" D. Wright and his beloved mother, Ruby Wright preceded him in death.
David is survived by his two brothers, Roy G Wright of Adamsville, Ala., Carl D. Wright of Fair Hope, Ala.; his sisters, Virginia W. Stanford, Nelle W. Dill and Janice W. Heisler all of Birmingham, Ala.; his sisters in-law Edna Wright, wife of Roy, Mary Gene Wright, wife of Carl, and Treela Wright wife of Bill Wright, David's older brother who is deceased, several nieces and nephews, his longtime roommate David Whitmire and close friends, Brent Moreland and Richard Gray along with numerous friends and colleagues.
