Carolyn Mable (Burroughs) Nations, 75, of Rome, Georgia died Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born on May 16, 1947 in Aberdeen, Mississippi to the late O.W. Burroughs and Burnette Spradling Burroughs.
In addition to her patents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Belton Nations; and grandson, Hunter Nations.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Brent (Kimberly) Nations and Scottie Nations; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie (David) Wright; grandchildren, Brittni and Adrian Lucky, and Skylar Nations; great grandchildren, Landon Reams, Emma Reams, Quinlann Lucky, Tidus Lucky, Alejandro Reyes, and Davon Lucky; nieces, Beth Wright and Suzy Wright; nephew, Brooks Wright; several friends and other relatives also survive.

Sr. Master Sgt. (Retired) Jerry B. Nations, age 72 of Rome, GA died Saturday, August 31, 2013 following a period of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on April 4, 1941, son of Willie Mae Bowman Nations and the late Quinton H. Nations.
Sgt. Nations served his country in the US Air Force for 26 years, and also retired form Mohawk Industries. He was a member of East Calhoun Church.
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Burroughs Nations of the residence; his mother, Willie Mae Bowman Nations of Calhoun; two sons, Scottie Nations of Rome, and Anthony Brent (Wendy) Nations of Amarillo, TX; a daughter, Stephanie (Allen) Weaver of Gaylesville, AL; and a brother, Ted (Sandy) Nation of Calhoun.
Grandchildren surviving are Brittni Reams of Tallahassee, FL, Hunter Nations of Calhoun, Skyler Nations, Tori Nations, and Austin Nations, all of Amarillo; great-grandchildren, Landon Reams and Emma Grace Reams, both of Tallahassee; and a nephew, David Nation.
Interment will be in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, with full military honors.
Active pallbearers will include Billy Reams, Charlie Dampier, Joe Culberson, David Nation, Allen Lange, Brooks Wright, Ashley Carver, and Jimmy English.
