Charles Roy Weeks, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9. He was born on Dec. 13, 1915, in Itawamba County, Miss., to Noonan and Cora Graham Weeks.
He was a senior chief in aviation ordinance (AOCS), U.S. Navy-retired. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1936-1940 in China, the U.S. Navy from 1941-1968 during World War II and the Korean War. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1968-1988.
He was a member of the Allendale Baptist Church and the Fleet Reserve Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Weeks, in 1998.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Stanley Byron (Kathleen) Weeks; and four grandchildren, Christine Marie Weeks, Elizabeth Anne Weeks, Brian Patrick Weeks and Anne Marie Weeks, all of Bethesda, Md.
