Charles Lesley served in the CSA as a 2Lt in Company K, Johnston’s Infantry Regiment; Charles was wounded and sent to a POW camp. There he wrote home that the Yankees were taking pretty good care of him, but that it might not be enough.
While imprisoned Charles fashioned a ring from a brass button of his uniform and sent it home.
