DEATH OF R. C. AVENT.
Friends here received with regret the news of the death of Mr. R. C. Avent, which occurred in Mobile on Thursday.
; Mr. Avent was a former citizen of Moss Point, -being engaged about twenty years ago in the lumber business here with his brother, D. C. Avent.
He is survived by his widow and four children, as follows: Mrs. Henry Muggins of Jackson, Ala.; Mrs. R. N. Cowart of. Avent, Miss.; Cottrell Avent of Mobile, and O. D. Avent of Fruitdale, Ala. He was the grandfather of little \J . C. Avent of Moss Point.
