Services slated for Sneed Wayne Eugene Sneed of Newton, born and reared in Lafayette Springs and Oxford, died Sunday at the Newton hospital.
He had been married to the late Marie Norris Sneed, originally of Ashland.
He was a member of the Newton Methodist Church. He attended the University of Mississippi and was a retired engineer with the Mississippi Highway Department.
He served with the U. S. Navy Seabees during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Bounds, Lawrence, and Mrs. Claire Hardy, Meridian; two sons, Phil Sneed, New York, N.Y., and Gene Sneed, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Clayene Crouch and Mrs. Sue Fenger, and a brother, Payne Sneed, all of Oxford; and four grandchildren.
