Clara is survived by two daughters, Peggy Threadgill, Oxford, MS; Judy Abernethy, Starkville, MS; one son, Phil Poe, Tupelo, MS; one sister, Lillian Young, Calhoun City, MS; one brother, John Q. Aven, Calhoun City, MS; grandchildren, Terry Threadgill, Todd Threadgill, Phillip Poe, Amy Threadgrill, Laurie Conway; great grandchildren, Hannah Burnett, Gray Threadgill, Hannah Threadgill, Sarah Threadgill, Benjamin Conway, Julia Conway, Hunter Poe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Q. Aven, Sr., and Annie Alice Litton Aven.
