Martha Jane Aven Prestridge, 92, passed away April 2, 2016 under the care of hospice.
Jane was born February 16, 1924 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. After graduation from high school in Texarkana, Jane attended the University of Oklahoma.
In December, 1943, she married Bob Prestridge and in 1949, they established their home in Oklahoma City. In the early 1970's, Jane began a successful career as a real estate associate, which lasted until her retirement in 2004.
A devoted member of the Episcopal Church, Jane served on the Altar Guild for many years. She was a 50-year member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Oklahoma, a member of P.E.O., and she and Bob were long time members of the Reveler's Club and Quail Creek Golf and Country Club.
Jane is survived by daughter Sharon Palmer and her husband Michael of Dallas; son, Joseph Prestridge and his wife Nancy of Kansas City; and daughter Ann Coleson and her husband David of Oklahoma City; and grandchildren Greg Prestridge and his wife Betsy, Jason Prestridge and his wife Alicia, Christopher Coffelt, John Collins and his wife Megan, Scott Palmer and his wife Lauren, Katherine Palmer Trepanier and her husband Rob, Kathleen Coleson, Carol Coleson and Daniel Coleson. In addition, Jane is survived by her 13 great-grandchildren: Destaney, Grace, Jack, Samuel, Jane, Emily, Sarah, Robert, Ellen, Milo, Oliver, Paislee and William. Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert Scott Prestridge; her father, John Henry Aven; her mother, Ruth Smith Aven; and granddaughter, Kaylyn Prestridge.

Robert Scott Prestridge (Bob), 84, died April 21, 2007.
Bob was born June 6, 1922 in Oklahoma City and moved to Texarkana, Texas in 1931. He graduated from high school in Texarkana and attended Wentworth Military Academy, the University of Arizona, and Purdue University.
He served his country in World War II in General Patton's Third Army, where he attained the rank of Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Bob returned to Oklahoma City in 1949 and established the Prestridge Lumber Company, a wholesale brokerage selling lumber from various sawmills to retail lumber yards. He closed his company in 1987 after 38 years in business, and was a real estate broker associate from 1987 until his retirement in 2004.
Bob was a member of All Souls Episcopal Church, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Downtown Rotary Club 29 and Quail Creek Golf and Country Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jane; daughter, Sharon Palmer and her husband Mike of Dallas; son, Joseph Prestridge and his wife Nancy of Kansas City; and daughter, Ann Coleson and her husband David of Oklahoma City; and grandchildren, Greg Prestridge, Jason Prestridge, Scott Palmer, Katherine Palmer, Kathleen Coleson, Carol Coleson, and Daniel Coleson.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wade Prestridge; mother, Mattie Bell Scott Prestridge; and granddaughter, Kaylyn Prestridge.
