Earl served his country and community in the United States Army as a
Paratrooper. He was a Captain of the Odessa Fire Department and in 1984 retired from that position after 23 years of service. Earl and his wife Ruedell raised cattle on their ranch in Durant, Oklahoma for 29 years.
Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lura Collins; wife of 49 years Ruedell Collins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and Thomas Donnell, Tommie Ree and Bernard Ordener and Vernell Collins; grandchildren, Jordan Aaron Watkins, Jarrod Ethan Watkins and Laura Engle Williams.
