He was born January 8, 1936 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Ree Lewis and Sadie (Graze) Coppock. On November 16, 1957, Don Coppock and Cleta Avent were married in Via Acuna, Mexico.
Don was a member of the United States Navy. Until his retirement, he was a supervisor for Bell Helicopter.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Alice Kelly; a brother, Jerb Coppock and his parents.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Cleta; 3 sons: Don "DJ" Coppock, Jr. of Amarillo, Dee Coppock and wife Amber of Amarillo and Ott Coppock of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren: McKenna Coppock, Collin Coppock, Cooper Coppock and Rady Coppock.
