Gladys was born in Celeste on Aug. 20 1902, the daughter of Lester and Sue Slater Aven. Mrs Angell was a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ.
Survuving are a son, Vaudra Lynn Angell of Plano; a daughter,Mrs Lanell Volk of Sulpher Springs; three brothers, Clifton Aven of Greenville, A.Z. Aven of Tyler, R.E. Aven of Orange; three sisters, Mrs Hazel Butler, Mrs Edith Thomason, Mrs Noema Little, all of Greenville; five grandchildren, Mrs Barbara Root of Irving, Mrs Nancy Greenfield and Mrs Susan Rowell both of Sulpher Springs, Mrs Janice Kirkland of Farmers Branch and Mrs RobbieRich of Plano.
She was proceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
