Rosiland was born in Leflore County on December 3, 1945 to the late Ope Reed and Doris Bearden Muse.

She was a long time member of Christ Baptist Church in Greenwood, and loved baking, cooking, creating art with her pottery skills, plants, flowers, attending church, her friends, and most of all her family.

She worked at David Hicks Brokerage for 40 years, Viking Range, and finally at the Greenwood-Leflore Airport. She sacrificed her life for the betterment of others. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lewis “Bubba” Avent.

She is survived by her two sons, Mitch Avent of Greenwood, MS, and Brad Avent (Amy) of McComb, MS; five grandchildren, Maddie Avent, Brewer Avent, Ayla Avent, Marley Avent, and Lewis Avent; sister, Betty Killebrew; and three brothers, Jimmy Muse, Larry Muse, and Eddie Muse.
