The daughter of William and Nellie McCarty Aven, she was born Sept. 30, 1918, in Josephine. She married Prim Hardin on July 3, 1937; they were antique dealers.
Survivors include three daughters, Aleta Beth O'Neal and husband Bobby of Houston, Brenda Sue Zilinski and husband Louie of Lometa and Lynn Rae Doggett and husband Sandy of Lometa; grandchildren Stacy Pannell and husband Mike of Houston, Tami Ellis and husband Mark of Pasadena, Robetina Hackworth and husband Joe of Delvalle, Janet Lynn Hackworth of Austin, Dawn Penalber and husband Tom of Round Rock, Mitchell Thurman of Austin and Terry Lane and wife Pam of Franklin, Ga.; and nine great-grandchildren.Her husband preceded her in death.
