Curtis Wayne Ellis, 74, went to his heavenly home Friday, June 10, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born July 25, 1941, in Slate Springs, the son of Rufus Ellis and Virginia Vance. he was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Slate Springs.
Pallbearers are Lonnie Gregg, Jeffrey Tedder, Mickey Avent, Trey Collins, Larry Collins and Dewayne Redwine.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Ellis of Calhoun City; daughter, Tracey (Brandon) Miller of Southaven; son, Michael W. Ellis of Calhoun City; sister, Alma Dean (John) Kindle of Cascilla; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister.
