Cynthia Mae Avent Adcock, of Fuquay-Varina, went home to be with her Lord and her beloved daddy suddenly on October 16th, 2020, suddenly with family by her side.
She was born to Shirley Avent and the late Stanley Avent on July 18th, 1965. She was the best big sister and second mom to Stephen (Lori) Avent, Stephanie Avent, and Crystal (Jon) Patterson.
On July 28th, 1990, she married the love of her life Gary Adcock and became the step-mother to Nicholas (Dollie) Adcock and Emilee Adcock whom she loved like her own; a sister-in-law to Brenda Partin, and an aunt to Lisa Petrulo and her daughters. She soon became an incredible mother to her first born daughter Brittany (Lee) Davenport, who was her best friend. She was later surprised with the birth of her baby daughter Danielle Adcock who kept her young and on her toes. Her world revolved around her family.
Cindy went by a lot of things but NaMaw and G-Cindy were her favorites. She was "G-Cindy" to Emilen (Kyle) McDowell, Kealeb Adcock, Erica Robb, Emerson Robb, and Lilly Adcock. The name "Namaw" came from Macie Kaye Davenport and Clara Ruth Davenport, who were the lights of her life. She enjoyed nothing more than to spoil all of her grandbabies. She was especially excited for the upcoming birth of her very first Great Grandson Greyson Boone McDowell. Cindy had several aunts and uncles whom she cared for and loved dearly. She also leaves behind niece Meghan Avent and nephew Stanton Avent, whom she also loved to spoil.
Throughout her life, Cindy modeled Christ like generosity, hospitality and love. To know Cindy was to love her – she loved big and protected those she loved fiercely. She always had open arms and an open home. She leaves behind a host of lifelong friends, including her “Flossy Possy”. She will always be our true CEO – she never did anything halfway.
