Rosalie died at her home in Avant. She was the daughter of Lewis and Ellen (Ross) Rogers and an Osage Indian.
She married Benjamin Avant on September 5, 1895, then married Ben Watts.
Survivors include her second husband, her children, Ethel Horney and Theodore Avant, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Founder of the town of Avant, Oklahoma.
Ben Avant, a native of Gonzales, Texas, married Rosalie Rogers, a Cherokee-Osage, and established a ranch in 1896.
The Avant oil field was discovered in 1904.
The Midland Valley Railroad (later acquired by the Missouri Pacific Railroad) reached the Avant ranch in 1905.
A post office named Avant was established in 1906, but the town did not really begin to develop until 1909. Early businesses included the Avant State Bank, the Parker Brothers Jewelers, the Avant and Midland hotels, and the Avant Novelty Theater, which offered motion pictures and vaudeville. The
Avant Advocate, the
Avant Derrick, the
Avant Hustler, the
Avant News, and the
Osage County Hustler were the town's newspapers.
Avant's population peaked at 1,071 in 1920, but declined steadily thereafter.
On August 28, 1923, the Avant town marshall shot and killed Ben Avant following a dispute.
