Mr. Burns, who was 94, died Saturday morning in King's Daughters Hospital. He had been a resident of Brookmanor Nursing Home and was a member of Ruth Baptist Church.
Mr. Burns was the son of the late Arthur Allen Burns and Julia Ann Price Burns, and had been married to the late Mrs. Annie Bacot Burns.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Julia Burns and Mrs. Ann Bayly of Jackson, Mrs. Gladys Coleman of Summit and Mrs. Grace Meacham of Suffolk, Va.; a sister Mrs. Laura Hodges of McComb; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Burns died at 8:15 a.m. Monday in McComb Extended Care Center following a sudden attack of illness.
Born Nov. 13, 1891, she was a native of Enon. She was a resident of Route 1, Ruth, at the time of her death. She was a member of the Ruth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Edwin, Lowrey and Curtis Burns.
Survivors include her husband Clifton C. Burns of Brookhaven; four daughters, Miss Julia Burns of Jackson, Mrs. Ann Bayly of Jackson, Mrs. Gladys Coleman of Summit, Mrs. Grace Meacham of Florence, S.C.; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Edwin Burns of Brookhaven and Mrs. Lowrey Burns of Ruth; an uncle, Julian Bacot of Tylertown; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
