FULTON Lavern B. Summers, 83, died Friday, June 11, 1999, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late William T. and Alice Sullins Brazeal, and the widow of Ellis Summers, who died in 1965. She was a retired employee of Daniel Nursing Home and a former employee of Itawamba Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Summers, and his wife, Linda, of Fulton; three daughters, Bonnie Champbell and her husband, Harold, of Tupelo, Ann Dulaney of Fulton, and Alice Faye Hare and her husband, John, of Fulton; three sisters, Ruby Kennedy of Tupelo, Helen Hemphill of Flora and Sue Underwood of Baldwyn; five grandchildren, Lee Dulaney and his wife, Amanda, Candace Dulaney, Leland Husband, Samantha Summers and Kathryn Summers.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Mack Brazeal; and a grandson, Michael Ellis Summers.
Pallbearers will be William Lee Brazeal, Mike Cayson, David Powell, David Summers, Joe Cayson and Larry Underwood.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Summers, Julian Summers, Bobby Joe Reed, Authur Kermit McFerrin, Dr. Billy Collum and Dr. John W. Bowlin.
