Zelma L. Timms Cromeans, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Columbus. She was born July 19, 1925, to Clarence Timms and Willie Ringer Timms. She was a member of Burnt Fields Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharron (Billy) Barrett of Fulton; a grandson, Brandon (Leigh Ann) Barrett; a granddaughter, Sarah Beth Barrett; two great-granddaughters, Shelby Barrett and Samantha Barrett; three sisters-in-law, Francis Timms, Louise Cromeans and Joy Timms.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marles Cromeans; her father, Clarence Timms, and mother, Willie Timms; a sister, June Kent; and brothers, Hoarce Timms, Hollis Timms, Troy Timms and J.C. Timms.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Nichols, Mackey Nichols, David Mears, Taylor Mears, Jimmy Gray, Jim Gray and Joe Lesley.

Marles L. Cromeans, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at his daughter's home in Fulton. He was born Feb. 6, 1921, in Itawamba County to Charnel and Mattie Bell Gentry Cromeans. He was a teacher and a basketball coach for 42 years and taught at several schools in Itawamba County. He was a member of Burnt Fields Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Zelma Timms Cromeans of Fulton; a daughter, Sharron and Billy Barrett of Fulton; two grandchildren, Brandon Barrett and wife, Leigh Ann, and Sarah Beth Barrett; a great-grandchild, Shelby Barrett; a brother, Marvin and Louise Cromeans of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Audrey Spencer.
Pallbearers will be Billy Devaughn, Macky Nichols, Ricky Nichols, Danny Timms, Alvie Gene Timms, Wilburn Timms and David Mears.
Taylor Mears will be an honorary pallbearer.
