William Jasper Butler, 52, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at his home. He was born April 20, 1947, to Walter Garvin and Irene Beam Butler. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in agriculture. He taught agriculture at Nettleton High School for many years. He was currently employed with R&D Maintenance Service for the Tenn-Tom Waterway.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky R. Butler of Fulton; three sons, Billy Thomas Butler, Brian Wade Butler and Brad Edward Butler, all of Fulton; five brothers, Henry "Buddy" Butler of Booneville, Edger Dale Butler and Dexter Butler, both of Amory, and Elbert Butler and Alvie Butler, both of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lila Mae Hathcock; and a brother, W.G. Butler.
Pallbearers will be Willy Bonds, Joe Loague, Tommy Gist, Benji Walker, Randy Twitty and E.C. Carpenter.
