Paul Eugene Riney, 68, of Kahoka, formerly of Wayland, died Friday (Nov. 12, 1993) in Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa.
Mr. Riney was born March 6, 1925, in Memphis, a son of Roscoe and Ethel Miller Riney. He married Lucille Egbert Aug. 5, 1950, in Roseville, Ill. Mr. Riney retired from Sheller-Globe of Keokuk, Iowa, in May 1989. He was a member of the Kahoka Moose Lodge and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Murphy and Sherry Tibbs, both of Temple, Texas; two sons, David Riney of Kahoka and Randy Riney of Wayland; two brothers, Robert and Raymond Riney of Memphis; four sisters, Ina Carstens of Jackson, Miss., Anna Kaiser of Keoku, Iowa, Mary VandenBos and Chris Bennett, both of Denver; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Max. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Shaffer and Sons Memorial Chapel in Kahoka by the Rev. Dean Deatrick. Private burial will be in Kahoka Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. today with family meeting friends from 7 to 8 tonight in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
