Maryland [ ]! November the 27 day 1739.
In the Name of God Amen I John Piggen being sick & weak of body but of perfect memory Thanks be to God for the same. I make & ordain this my Last Will & Testament in manner & form following. Revoking all Wills or Will formerly by me made or done.
Item I give my Soul to God that gave it me & my Body to the Earth hoping through the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ a [Remission] of my Sins.
Item I give & Bequeath unto my well beloved Wife my Dwelling Plantation together with all the Land I hold on the West side of Zeciah Swamp to dispose of as she shall think Convenient & also my Personal Estate to be at her Disposal as she shall think fit to her & her Ears forever.
Item I give & Bequeath unto my Son John Henry Piggeon all that part or parcell of Land lying on East side Zeciah Swamp called now by the name of Nue Branford to him & his Ears forever.
I Constiute & appoint my beloved Wife to be my hole & sole Exatricks of this my last Will & Testament as Witness my hand & Seal the day & year above written.

Nov 10, 1724 from Richard Beale of CC, planter, to Jno Pigion of CC, planter, & Joan, his [Richard's--NJL] wife, the lease of part of the parcel of land called his Lordships favour, now in the possession of the sd Beale, situated on the west side of Zachia Swamp. Sd John Pigion is to have that part that lies on the Dressing Branch between Richard Willson's Quarter & a small branch that runs up by the old plantation and with sd branch until it intersects the line that divides sd Richd Beale's land & Richard Wilson's, containing about 50 acres. John Pidgeon shall have free liberty to cut down any timber or timber trees for the use of the sd land (viz, for building, fencing, or tobacco hogsheads). Mar 25, 1730 from Peter Carrico of CC, planter, to George Keyth of CC, planter, and Elizabeth, his wife, for the considerations already reserved and hereafter mentioned, the lease of part of a parcel of land called Maidston, now in the possession of sd Peter Carrico, situated on a branch of Piles Fresh, bounded by a tract of land now in the possession of John Piggeon called New Bradford, a tract of land in possession of Lawrence Lent called Canterbury, containing 50 acres. George Keyth may cut down any timber or timber trees for the use of sd land (viz) for building, fencing, or tobacco hogsheads, during the term of 19 years, to commence from Dec 10 last past, in consideration of which George Keyth has paid Peter Carrico 2000 lbs of tobacco.
