Lord of Stoke and Admington. His great-uncle and god-father, Richard Colchester, expressly conferred his titles of Stoke and Admington on Richard Brent by his will (1547). Richard Brent's date of birth has not been found, but using his marriage date as a basis for estimation, it seems highly doubtful that Richard could have been of age when Richard Colchester died, and that the title of Stoke and Admington was effectively borne by Richard's father, William, as indicated in the Brent Memorial Brass.
