James Kenneth Brasfield, 77, died Wednesday, 03-August- 2005 at the G. V. "Sonny" Montgomery V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A native of Monroe County, he was born 04-September-1927 in Smithville to the late Alvis and Viola Maudean Faulkner Brasfield. He was a resident of Louisville and a born-again Christian. Kenneth was a retired carpenter and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Hisaw Brasfield of Louisville, whom he married 02-August-1986, a son Mike Brasfield and wife, Becky of Bogalousa, LA; a daughter, Lisa Brasfield of Bay St. Louis, MS; two stepsons, John Staszefski and wife, Brenda, of Weir, and David Staszefski of Louisville; two stepdaughters, Jo Ann Hartland and husband, John, of Hartselle, AL and Diane Fondren and husband, Ricky, of Starkville; four grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 18 step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jackie Lewis Brasfield.
