Her maiden name of Woodhouse, the daughter of John Woodhouse and Ruth Cason, is likely mistaken. That Elizabeth Woodhouse is said to have married William Oakham (or Joel Cornick) instead. It is suspected that some have connected Edward Maxey to Elizabeth Woodhouse because she is a descendant of a well-documented, ancient ancestral line. Ryan Wadleigh is the only source who has her as the daughter of John Woodhouse.
